My 5 Top Tech Wishes: Technology is one of those things that I both love and hate equally.

My 5 Top Tech Wishes
Debbie at My Chaotically Eclectic Life would love to have an integrated memory chip

I mean, without technology, such as the internet and my laptop, I would struggle to do the one thing I love, which is blogging. However, I also find it frustrating when technology goes wrong, which it inevitably does at the most inopportune moment.

The improvements in technology over the past 20 or so years is an indication that everyone is looking for that one thing that will make their lives easier, but does it really. I mean, do I really want my watch to tell me that I haven’t taken enough steps today or that I should have gone to bed 2 hours ago in order to get the appropriate amount of sleep. Not really.

So what do I really want to see, well that’s what we are here to find out.

  1. Computerised Pantry

Meal planning and grocery shopping are my least favourite household tasks as they are so time consuming.

I would love a system where I could pop in my meal plan for the week (if it could suggest meals for me too, that would be even better) and the computer would analyse my cupboards, fridge etc to make sure I have the correct ingredients while adding anything I didn’t have to a shopping list.

Even better if I could send the shopping list to my online grocery store so all I need to do is check out.

  1. Integrated Memory Chip

OK, so I’m heading into weird sci-fi territory with this but I would love some way to remember all the ideas I have when I don’t have access to a notebook and pen.

Maybe a small integrated microchip that when prompted records your memory so you can download it when you have the right equipment.

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had a fantastic idea for something when putting the kids to bed, only to have completely forgotten by the time I get to jot it down.

  1. Computerised Closet

I would love to be able to open my wardrobe doors and be given inspiration for my outfit for that day as at the minute I tent to live in the same things.

Other features would include it not showing me the clothes that don’t fit (it would analyse my measurements and remove anything that would be too tight), reminding me how many times I’ve worn something so I can wash it accordingly, recording my outfit of the day so I can see what it looks like and refer to it in the future and suggesting seasonal items from my favourite shops that would fit into my capsule.

  1. Keyboard Warrior/Troll Protection

Every computer/smartphone etc should come with a program that recognises when the user is trolling or being a keyboard warrior. When the system registers such an occurrence it should send a reminder to the user to be kind (or it could send them a small electric shock).

The world is a hard enough place to navigate without this nasty people adding to the distress of others.

  1. Photography Assistant

I’m not the best at taking photographs so anything that could help me with this would be amazing.

Having a program built into my phone/camera etc that tells me exactly what settings to use would be fantastic and if it could edit my photos afterwards I’d be a very happy lady.

These are some of the things I would love to see. It’s over to the technological geniuses at Samsung, Apple and the like to make it happen!
